PM Modi Raises Balochistan In Independence Day Speech
Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave an unusually long speech today and for a while it seemed a predictable rundown of his government's achievements. But then, close to the end, he dropped a bombshell by bringing up Balochistan, the disputed region seeking independence from Pakistan. Islamabad has always alleged that India has a hand in stoking unrest in Balochistan, a charge that India has denied.
