Cooch Behar in North West Bengal will witness a high-octane campaign today, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee addressing rallies in close proximity, just 30 km apart from each other. Mamata Banerjee is expected to speak around noon, while the Prime Minister is scheduled to address an election rally at 3:00 pm. Coochbehar has already experienced clashes between the BJP and TMC during the poll campaign. The BJP considers North Bengal its bastion and won all seats last time, taking its tally to 18 seats across Bengal in 2019. The TMC is striving to regain lost ground in the region, with both Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee making multiple visits to boost the TMC's campaign.
