support coming in from several quarters for arrested TDP chief EN Chandrababu Naidu and former chief minister. Remember his Jana Pavan. Kaan, who is a major player in an pious politics, met en Chad Babu Naidu in jail along with Chandrababu Naidu, son Luke, in the jail and after that meeting expressed support and said that they would go into an alliance with the TDP. It's a formal announcement of an alliance between Jana Sena, party chief Pavan Kan and the Tego Party. Interesting comments also coming in from BJP leader Bandi Sanjay, who said the arrest was political vendetta. Remember, Chandrababu Naidu was arrested by the state in connection with the alleged Skill Development Corporation scam of 2016. The arrest and the subsequent political reaction could well indicate the road ahead for the in terms of alliances for the 2024 Luk Saba and state elections. Let's listen to what Pavan Kaan had to say after he met with Chad. Joining us now is my colleague Umar Sudi, who also spoke with the CID chief of Andhra Pradesh as well. Um, interesting. On the one side is the legal case and the protests that we see on the other side sort of crystallisation of the political realities and alliances for the TDP post this arrest. Yes, indeed. The CIA chief was in Hyderabad, in fact, to try and tell people why he had arrested Chan Naidu, even as the supporters and the critics are arguing about the pros and cons of why he has been arrested and also about the political implications. First, about the political implication. Pavan Kaan making the statement that he is going to be fighting this election along with the TD and more interestingly, also saying that he has been telling the BJP and would once again be speaking to Mr Amita and the BJP leadership in Delhi to say that they need to fight this election together and to not split the vote against Mr Raja Modi and the YRC. This is what had happened in 2014, when Chad Babu Naidu became the chief minister. All these three had come together to fight the 24 election soon, you know, that happened just at the time of the bi of the state. Interestingly, 2019, they had gone their separate ways, and Chandra Naidu had not been able to retain his chief ministership now. Interestingly, this real alignment happening at the time of Mr Naidu's arrest, and most people would think that the leader of stature of Chan Naidu being arrested would not have happened without a nod from Delhi. But there is a should, I say, a divided kind of signals that we are receiving from different BJP leaders with Bandi Sanja, who is quite a prominent voice now saying that the arrest in many senses he's saying that it is political vendetta and he's saying that he does not support such an ER arrest. The central BHP leadership has not spoken on this, the AP BJP chief who has condemned the arrest. The manner of the arrest happens to be also the sister in law of and therefore not much was read into it. But the signals from the BJP not very clear the RCP believes that they will keep will keep Chan Naidu busy with legal battles because when I spoke to the AP Chief, he said that they have many, many more cases that they are investigating against Mr Naidu and in fact we will be seeking his arrest in those cases as well, not just Mr Naidu, but Nara Luke as well. But you all the interesting twists and turns of Telugu politics and the undercurrent as well. Um, make sure you track we make sure, um, tracks all of it. But, um, Kaan could also be potentially the man relaying messages between Chandrababu Naidu and the BJP. Yes, you know, even in 2014, in many senses, he kind of acted as kind of a link between the B JP and the Buddhism. There, Pavan Kaan at that time was totally untested political entity. And even in 2019, I can't say that he set the you know, the state on fire politically. But wherever you see, he does have a backing. And more importantly, he is supposed to be having the backing of the Kau cast, which is numerically very significant in position. The combination of the Kama cast which is largely believed to support the Buddhism and Chandrababu Naidu if they do come together, the political calculation if you just go by the calculation, it would seem to weigh in favour of the genesis in a combination. BJP, of course, is not a significant player in an Pradesh. Interestingly, even though we have had India alliance partners speaking up. Anth Pradesh is one state where neither the Congress nor the BJP is very strong and therefore the India alliance players, in that sense don't have too much of a role in a state like an Pradesh. Both these parties have shown willingness to support the BJP at the centre back to you.
