Karnataka Covid Task Force Member On State's Response Amid 2 Omicron Cases

The detection of two confirmed cases of the Omicron variant of coronavirus in Karnataka has led to considerable concern. Speaking to NDTV, Dr Vishal Rao, Member of the Genomic Surveillance Committee of the Karnataka Covid Task Force, said more restrictions are likely to be imposed in the state, adding, the second case detected - a doctor with no history of foreign travel - may have contracted the virus from someone who had travelled internationally.
