Now, Shaheen Bagh Like Anti-CAA Protest In Chennai

Drawing inspiration from Delhi's Shaheen Bagh, hundreds of people - largely Muslim women - are protesting for the fourth day in Chennai, demanding an assembly resolution against the Citizenship Amendment Act by the Tamil Nadu government in the ongoing assembly session. On Friday, the police had used mild force to clear protesters who they say attacked four police personnel including a senior woman officer. There were state wide protests past midnight against the police action.
