The Supertech twin towers in Noida, which are taller than the Qutub Minar, will be razed to the ground at 2:30 pm today, nine years after residents went to court alleging violation of norms. 3,700 kilograms of explosives would be used to destroy them. The demolition was ordered by the Supreme Court after the court found their construction on the Emerald Court society premises in violation of norms. The buildings will be demolished by the company at its own expense under the guidance of the Noida Authority.
