No threat of mid-term polls: Karat

Just days after showering praise on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat softened further on Friday by clearly indicating there was no question of mid-term polls. Karat also said that his party was willing to have as many meetings as required to resolve the differences with the UPA on the nuclear deal, but closer strategic ties with the US is not acceptable to them.
