"No Monkeypox Vaccine Plans For Now": Serum Institute's Adar Poonawalla

Amid scare over Monkeypox, India's largest vaccine maker Serum Institute chief Adar Poonawalla has said that the viral infection is unlikely to turn into pandemic and that his company has no plan to manufacture a vaccine against Monkeypox. He added that Serum Institute will import smallpox vaccine and the stock will be available in 2-3 months. Mr Poonawalla also advised against panic and adherence to WHO guidelines.
