Nipah Alert In 3 Kerala Districts, Containment Zones Announced

Kerala Health Department has issued an alert for Kannur, Wayanad and Malappuram districts after Nipah virus infection was confirmed in Kozhikode. Kerala Health Minister Veena George said that the health department has contacted the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and assured the availability of monoclonal antibodies for the treatment of Nipah patients admitted at a private hospital.
