Muzaffarnagar Riot Victim Attempts Suicide Outside District Magistrate's Office

A man who claims to be a riot victim in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar district and was displaced after the riots last September, tried to commit suicide out the District Magistrate's office. 25-year-old Mohommad Adil, a resident of Mohommadpur Rai Singh village, claims he was one of those who fled his village after the riots broke out last year and deserved the Rs. 5 lakh compensation that the state government is offering to those who had abandoned their homes.
