The BJP has fielded a member of the royal family of Krishnanagar to take on Mahua Moitra who has been re-nominated by the Trinamool Congress. West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee kicked off her first campaign rally in support of Mahua Moitra in Krishnanagar on Sunday. The BJP is banking on the arithmetic and Amrita Roy's social stature to wrest the seat.
