Infant deaths: West Bengal government in denial?

In just one week, at least 41 infants have died in just two hospitals in West Bengal. Even the state Governor has expressed concern over the deaths, but the Minister of State for Health Sudip Bandopadhyay gave the hospitals and doctors a clean chit today, and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who is also the Health Minister, maintained her silence on the tragedy.
