Goa rape case: Minister's son surrenders

The son of Goa's Education Minister Babush Monserrat, Rohit Monserrat, who is accused of raping a minor German girl, has surrendered at the Calangute police station in Goa. A complaint was filed last month by the girl's mother, Fadela Fuchs. According to sources, the victim in her statement to a magistrate on Saturday said she had consensual sex with the minister's son, a charge which has denied by the accused in his statement to the police.
