When the coronavirus pandemic hit, the lockdown brought on not just a humanitarian crisis, but also an urgent need for help and support for the healthcare system and its workers. There was an acute shortage of protective equipment for the frontline workers in hospitals and ASHA workers – all of whom were risking their lives to save ours. With its large network of NGO partners, GiveIndia was one of the first responders in this regard.
