In Kolkata, former Congress Chief Minister of Goa, Luizinho Faleiro, joined the Trinamool Congress today and said his mission is to unite the many offshoots of Congress to take on the BJP. Abhishek Banerjee, Trinamool's national general secretary, did not contradict the new party member but targeted the Congress, saying it is time for the country's main opposition party to get off the armchair and hit the streets.
