In what's being seen as a possible move by the Congress to join hands with actor Kamal Haasan's MNM in Tamil Nadu ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, E V K S Elangovan, the Congress candidate for the Erode East constituency bypoll, today sought the actor politician's support. Recently Kamal Haasan had joined Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra raising speculation of a political alliance between both. Kamal Haasan however says he'd decide after consulting with his party's leadership.
