The COVID-19 pandemic has worsened the situation of child labour, but joint and decisive action can reverse this trend. On World Day Against Child Labour, Sunitha Krishnan and Amod Kanth talked about how child labour victims often face other forms of abuse including sexual abuse and rape. They also highlighted the urgency to come up with special laws and exclusive departments to deal with the issue of child labour and abuse. Sunitha Krishnan is the founder of Prajwala, an anti-trafficking organisation and Amod Kanth is the Founder of Prayaas and Former Joint Commissioner, Delhi Police.
