The Engineering Corps of the Army, which has been working on war footing since the Chamoli disaster, has set up a rope bridge alongside the demolished bridge near Tapovan Dam, to help in relief and rescue. The new rope bridge will make it easier to send relief and rescue equipment, food packets and medical kits to the affected villages.
