A Delhi court on Friday directed the chair of Amnesty International India Board Aakar Patel not to leave the country without its prior permission until next hearing on April 12 and stayed an order directing the CBI Director to submit a written apology to Patel. Aakar Patel was stopped again on Thursday night at an airport and was informed that the CBI had not withdrawn the LOC against him. Mr Patel moved a contempt plea against the CBI for not complying with the Court orders that had directed withdrawal of the LOC. NDTV spoke to Aakar Patel's lawyer Tanveer Ahmed Mir who said that CBI's refusal to file a compliance report on yesterday's court orders is an obstinate stance and not expected from a law enforcement agency.
