Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah arrived on Sunday night in Tripura's capital Agartala to further step up the ongoing campaign for the Lok Sabha elections. BJP sources said that after addressing an election rally in Tripura's Kumarghat today, the Home Minister would fly to Imphal, where he would address a public meeting and hold meetings with Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh. This will be Mr Shah's first visit to Manipur this year. Last year, after the ethnic unrest broke out, Mr Shah was in Manipur for a couple of days to take stock of the situation.
