Over 44% of those in the age group of 20-24 years are unemployed today, said Dr Amit Mitra. "We know numbers look very nice but in facts, jobs don't get generated. Approximately 24,000 jobs have been generated out of crores that are being trained. Today 42 million people are unemployed in India," he added.
