Menstrual Hygiene Day 2023: May 28 is observed as Menstrual Hygiene Day to promote good menstrual health and hygiene. It includes breaking the silence, raising awareness and changing negative social norms around menstrual health and hygiene. 15-year-old Ananya Malde is doing the same through 'Project Pragati'. Founded in 2020, Project Pragati is a groundbreaking initiative that works towards stopping girls in rural Gujarat from dropping out of schools because of menstruation. Meet Ananya Malde, a teenager on a mission to destigmatise menstruation and eliminate age-old taboos that continue to surround it.
