Maharashtra Bandh: Should Governments Back Protests?
Maharashtra today observed a bandh over the farmer deaths that took place during the violence in Lakhimpur Kheri. While the parties of the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi say that the bandh was largely peaceful, can the economy which is only starting to recover post the pandemic really afford political bandhs - and should state governments back bandhs?
