"Rescue operations are not over as we are expecting one or two more dead bodies on the floor of the river. From today (Tuesday) morning till now, not a single body has been recovered. In the middle of the river, the depth is not more than 15-20 feet. Even the portion near the banks are not more than 10 feet deep. Many people died on impact because of the rocks near the banks," Prasanna Kumar, NDRF Commandant, said when queried on the rescue operations in the wake of the Morbi bridge tragedy that has killed at least 135 people.
