Crackers Ban Up In Smoke As Toxic Haze Returns To Delhi-NCR A Day After Diwali
A thick toxic haze or 'smog' returned to Delhi, Noida, Gurugram and surrounding places on Monday morning, after people burst crackers on Diwali night, violating the Supreme Court's ban order, leading to heavy pollution across the National Capital Region (NCR) - which has been battling with deteriorating air quality. All the gains made due to rain on Friday literally went up in smoke on Sunday evening.
