joining me is manika tag from the Congress. He's a Congress MP and has worked extensively in Telangana. Uh, so thank you so much for speaking to us. Uh, so you have spent so much time in Telangana and and I remember that you were one of the people who initially sort of, like, really supported the Rev. And Reddy, and at a time it just seemed like the Congress could break. But, you know, And now we are here with a spirited, resurgent Congress. And if the exit poll numbers are to be believed, you could be even heading for a victory. How does that feel? And what strategies help the Congress to sort of resurface and sort of regroup? Thank you. Telling Ghana, as you are aware, from 2014, tiaras formed a government in 2018. Uh, when the Congress party took its, uh uh, best fight. But we could not, uh, get more seats. And we we got around 28% of votes and, uh, around the which two ML a and many of them shifted to TRS. They defected to TRS, and therefore we were left with five MLAS and, uh we Our fight was more or less, um, limited to to to those areas which Congress traditionally was, uh, stronger by tw after the parliament election in 2020 when the leadership a Congress president, Mr Sonia Gandhiji decided that that should be a change in the leadership of the state and Mr Ere was selected And, uh, then that appointment happened Then next two years, Congress started to build an organisational thing with covid time and others, uh, before we were able to build an organisational structure which is equivalent to the BRS. Because BRS, as you know, that among the regional parties, BRS is also had one of those, uh, structures were built for years together and Congress was able to build that structure in that two years. And if I remember means around 2022 March, when Mr Rahul Gandhiji visited Vagal and uh made that announcement that we will not have any kind of types with the RS and whomever wants to leave have alliance with the RS, they can go to the RS that said to to set the tone for the, uh Congress and we were able to build a narrative which is against the which was completely failed in the unemployment issue. Former issue and the L, the price rise issues. And then came the Barr judo, Uh, in October, September October, where Mr Ghani spent around 12 days walking across Telangana as part of Telangana, and we were able to build a narrative that other things, you know, think that how it went and the election we were able to come to a country near, uh to a place where we were We are going to be tomorrow, right, sir, But do you think the party will be able to keep its flock together? Because Manikam said we all know what happened in 2018 with the 19 Ms and the party won, a huge bloc actually went to the B Rs and B rs also managed to get ms from other parties. So do you think that your party will be able to keep its flock together? Yeah, that's the sad part of, uh, the Indian politics, which, uh, Mr Sha follows it as, uh, Operation Kamala in the name of Operation Kamala. Uh, they they buy MLAS. Uh, they threaten MLAS and by topple the governments the same thing KKCR is also is close to Ami's, uh, model of, uh, Operation Kabbalah. And he did that same thing. This time, people of Telangana are fed up with this kind of operations, and this sold out MLAS or many people are going to move that elections and the people of India. People of Tele have decided to vote for Congress, and we hope that it's going to be a clear, uh, verdict. And we are going to win, uh, a comfortable majority and the Congress Party. It's because the people of Telangana has decided to vote out this year. That's the issue. And we are very clear that our our all the leaders are together. And our deputy Chief Minister of Karaka, Mr TK Sukumar, has been sent there to manage the affairs tomorrow. And we all hope that we will be getting a clear cut majority and forming a government. My last question to you. You know, Rahul Gandhi has been against the RSS or any manifestation of the Hindu wa. So you know when you see Kamal Na and Singh bag, actually, not really, you know, falling Or, you know, maybe talking against Hindu TWA, Do you think that is something that is of advantage to your party? Or do you think the party will become more accommodating of the Hindu sentiments as we approach 2024? No, it's a It's a conspiracy by RSS and D JP to paint Congress as, uh, not a Hindu related party or a or a religious based, uh, these things. And they wanted to create the impression that Congress is anti Hindu, another which is untrue. And we are able to we want all idioms and equal right and we all want We all want all the Indians to have the right, uh, say also and in northern part of India, particularly Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and others, the way the state leaders handled these religious issues in a decent way. But not, uh, making to that level of RSS and B JP where they wanted to insult the other beliefs. Congress was very careful and taking the all the beliefs together and making everybody feeling comfortable
