A 44-year-old woman was brutally attacked inside an ATM in Bangalore on Tuesday morning with a machete. The attack left her skull fractured, most of her nose chopped off and the right side of her body paralysed. With no security guard at the ATM booth, for three hours on one of Bangalore's busiest roads, she lay undiscovered, the shutters of the booth pulled down. On Left, Right and Centre, we debate: should banks ensure security at all ATMs? Or was the Bangalore attack a policing failure?
