Ex-MLA in Uttar Pradesh Died Of Heart Attack Not Assault: Cops

Twenty four after a former three-term MLA in Uttar Pradesh died after alleged assault over a land dispute, police in the state's Lakhimpur Kheri district insist the politician died from a heart attack after an argument and not from assault. Nirvendra Mishra, a 73-year-old former three-term MLA had died on Sunday afternoon after allegedly being assaulted by goons, the family has alleged. The attackers were trying to occupy their land, they have claimed.
