There has been condemnation across the world after Israeli troops in northern Gaza opened fire on Palestinians scrambling for food aid on Thursday in a chaotic incident that the Strip's health ministry said killed more than 100 people. Israel claims that the deaths were due to a stampede.  Oil prices are rising with Gaza ceasefire talks in trouble after this latest incident. Meanwhile, the killing of the Gaza aid seekers has cast a cloud over the ceasefire talks. There was a proposal for a 40-day ceasefire.
