Forty-two seats in Bengal will go to polls in seven phases starting April 19. The BJP has so far released the names of 38 candidates. The TMC on the other hand has announced all 42. From Basirhat, the BJP has fielded Rekha Patra, who is a resident of Sandeshkhali and was one of the first women to raise her voice against the alleged sexual assault by three expelled TMC leaders. Amrita Roy, who belongs to the royal family of Krishnanagar, has been nominated from the Krishnanagar seat and will take on TMC's firebrand Mahua Moitra. The PM has spoken to these two candidates, sending a message of support for women from his party taking on the TMC. Watch India Decides.
