The centre is arguing in courts that the Aadhaar database is safe and secure - behind thick walls and more - but it has been two difficult days for supporters of the system. In the latest data breach, an Andhra Pradesh government website - Andhra Pradesh State Housing Corporation - has been reported leaking the Aadhaar data, bank accounts with IFSC code, caste, religion as well as geo-location of 1.34 lakh beneficiaries of housing schemes. This just hours after Supreme Court slammed the government for falsely using its name to make the people of India link our mobile SIMs with our Aadhaar cards.
