A report by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has found that job creation in India's small business or MSME sector has surged by 14% in the Modi years, from 2014-18. But CII's findings go against the available evidence, almost all of which suggests that India's unemployment problem is getting worse and that the small business sector has been ailing.
