Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, told 60 Minutes Sunday evening that the war in Lebanon should remain separate from the war in Iran. 60 Minutes anchor Major Garrett asked Netanyahu if the war with Iran could end, but the war with Hezbollah in Lebanon could continue as a separate and divergent battlefield. Netanyahu said it should, claiming that "Iran wants Hezbollah to stay there and continue to torture Lebanon and continue to hold its people hostage."
