Nepal Floods : NDTV Meets Survivors In Battar, Families Struggle After Losing Homes And Livelihoods
NDTV has reached Battar in Nepal, where rescue and road-clearing operations continue after devastating flash floods. Walking through the destroyed town, NDTV met survivors who described walls of water sweeping through their homes. One family from Bihar’s Motihari district, which had lived in the area for around 30 years, said they have lost their home, crops and belongings. Four days after the disaster, survivors are relying on food and shelter provided by local people as families of missing persons await news.
