Nepal Floods: Hope And Despair At Kathmandu Hospital As Families Search For Missing Loved Ones

At Kathmandu’s National Trauma Centre, families of those missing in Nepal’s devastating flash floods continue to search for their loved ones, holding on to hope amid uncertainty and grief. Relatives are checking hospitals, missing-person lists and photographs as search-and-rescue teams work to trace those still unaccounted for. The flash floods that originated in Tibet devastated parts of central Nepal, with nearly 1,000 people still reported missing. The Nepal Army and security agencies continue rescue operations across Rasuwa, Dhading, Nuwakot and Chitwan, while a fresh flood warning has been issued following a rise in water levels in the affected area.
