Neeraj Chopra at Doha Diamond League 2026, Javelin Throw Highlights: India's Neeraj Chopra narrowly lost out to Sri Lanka's in-form Rumesh Pathirage in the Lausanne Diamond League 2026 men's javelin event. Neeraj's best throw of 88.05m was only 0.09m less than Rumesh Pathirage's best throw of 88.14m. Pathirage took the lead after the first round, but Neeraj soared to top spot in the second round of throws. However, Pathirage retook the lead in the third round of throws and held it thereon. Grenada's Anderson Peters came third with a best throw of 86.69m. Both Neeraj and Peters made their season best throws, but that wasn't enough to stop Commonwealth Games 2026 gold medalist Pathirage winning a third Diamond League event in a row.
