"Europe feels more and more under threat. I hope it will be more fruitful than last one," Ackermann said on US President Donald Trump's meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin over the Russia-Ukraine conflict. "Unlike the Middle East, I don't see cessation of hostilities in Ukraine. It's not a peace process yet, but we hope to see it soon," he said.
