Floods have wreaked havoc in Odisha's Balasore due to rising water levels of the rivers Subarnarekha, Budhabalang and Jalaka. Balasore district has been the worst affected by the floods. Here, about 100 villages have been submerged in flood water, due to which life has been disrupted. According to government information, so far 46 panchayats in seven blocks have been affected, and 2,916 people have been shifted to safer places. 17 relief camps have been arranged for the people.
