As prolonged heatwave-like conditions continue across West Bengal, politicians and supporters of political parties have to campaign in the soaring heat. And there are questions over the schedule as the state votes in all seven phases making it a long-drawn process in the heat. Places like Asansol which are yet to vote are seeing temperatures of 44 degrees. The Trinamool Congress has hit out at the BJP over the long-drawn poll schedule with both Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee hitting out at the BJP and the election commission.
