Navy Day Beating Retreat Ceremony Held At Gateway Of India
The Indian Navy celebrated the last day of the Navy Day's Beating the Retreat ceremony at the Gateway of India in Mumbai on December 11. Various companies of the navy performed marches with several aircraft performing eye-catching air display. Navy Day is historically observed on 04 December every year, to commemorate the daring attack on Karachi harbor, which was launched by the Indian Navy's missile boats in the 1971 war.The attack paralyzed Pakistan's entire coastal defence apparatus and was a decisive step in the outcome of the war.
