National Film Awards: Anant Nag Gets Dadasaheb Phalke Award | Mammootty Wins Best Actor
The 72nd National Film Awards ceremony is underway in Gujarat, honouring some of Indian cinema's biggest names. Veteran actor Anant Nag has been conferred the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for lifetime contribution to Indian cinema. Mammootty won Best Actor for his performance in Bramayugam, while Rajkumar Periasamy received Best Director for Amaran. Kartik Aaryan and Yami Gautam were also honoured in the acting categories. Telugu blockbusters Pushpa 2: The Rule and Kalki 2898 AD won two awards each.
