Nagpur Flyover Reaches Residents’ Windows; Second Incident Sparks Planning Concerns

A major controversy has erupted in Nagpur after a 7.5-km flyover under construction on the Indora–Dighori route reportedly came dangerously close to residential buildings, with sections nearly touching house windows and balconies. Residents have raised serious questions about urban planning norms, safety clearances, and privacy concerns. This marks the second such case in the city. Earlier, a similar issue surfaced at Ashok Chowk, where a flyover had extended up to a balcony; authorities had then cited encroachment and removed the structure in question.
