The Museum of Art & Photography (MAP), Bengaluru has been awarded the NDTV Masterstroke Art Award for Museum of the Year, celebrating its pioneering role in transforming how India experiences art in the digital age. Recognised for blending rigorous scholarship with cutting-edge technology, MAP has redefined the museum experience through immersive exhibitions, innovative digital platforms, and the highly acclaimed MAP Academy. Its focus on accessibility, inclusion and audience engagement has opened new pathways for learning and dialogue. Accepting the award, founder Abhishek Poddar credited the museum’s dedicated team for its success, calling MAP a collective effort to bring art closer to everyday people. Director Kamini Sawhney emphasised that MAP’s approach is audience-first, creating experiences that make art relevant and participatory for all sections of society.
