Multifaceted Development Through USHA Silai Schools
TP Renewable Microgrid, a 100% subsidiary of Tata Power, and Usha Silai School, an initiative of Usha International Ltd. aimed at skilling rural women and empowering them to become entrepreneurs, partnered to set up solar-powered production centers, training 15 women in 15 days. The initiative was a great experience for both Tata power and USHA, given that neither of them had ever initiated such a programme and they believe that the programme will bring development on multiple fronts.
