A day after the Supreme Court dismissed a plea filed by Zakia Jafri, widow of former Congress MP Ehsan Jafri, challenging the clean chit given by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to Narendra Modi (then Chief Minister of Gujarat) and several others in the 2002 Gujarat riots, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said that PM Modi cooperated while SIT investigation in the case. In an exclusive interview with ANI, the Home Minister said, "Modiji didn't do drama while appearing before SIT (for 2002 Gujarat riots)- come out in my support, call MLAs-MPs and stage a dharna. We believed we should cooperate in the legal procedure. If SIT wants to question CM, he himself is ready to cooperate. Why protest?" (Video Credit: ANI)
