Earlier in the week, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met with the Russian President in the Kremlin confirming a visit by Putin to India later this year. Meanwhile, Washington signals mixed messages, while the state department vows full and frank dialogues on trade with New Delhi, President Trump says no trade talks with India until things are resolved. In another development, Trump and Putin are expected to hold an in-person meeting in UAE next week. The meeting comes despite Russia's refusal to halt attacks on Ukraine.
