Mob Attacks Assam Rifles Camp In Manipur; Vehicles Torched, No Casualties

A violent mob attacked an Assam Rifles camp in Senapati, Manipur, pelting stones, vandalising property and setting vehicles on fire after a security operation was launched based on intelligence inputs about the movement of armed cadres allegedly outside designated camps. Assam Rifles said it exercised maximum restraint, using blank rounds and tear gas to disperse the crowd in coordination with Manipur Police and the CRPF. Officials said the situation was brought under control by midnight, with no injuries or casualties reported among civilians or security personnel.
