Mission Mars: Countdown Continues, Will India Make History?

The first trial by fire went off successfully on September 22. Now, with all engines blazing, Mangalyaan is set to enter the Martian orbit in the early morning of September 24. India's maiden mission to Mars, Mangalyaan, is healthy and reaching its destination the Red Planet after a journey of 300 days and 670 million kilometers. If the ISRO succeeds, India will be the first Asian country to reach Mars. NDTV's Science Editor Pallava Bagla spoke exclusively to Indian Space Research Organisation Chairman Dr K Radhakrishnan at the mission control complex, from where the Mangalyaan is being controlled.
