'Mission Kashmir' For 27 European Union MPs

Twenty-seven MPs of the European Union will visit Kashmir tomorrow. The MPs are visiting in their private capacity and not as part of an official European Union delegation. As many as 22 of the 27 MPs are affiliated to far right parties. Today, they met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval who say this visit will give a clear view of governance priorities and need to collectively fight those who support terrorism as state policy. A furious opposition is calling it an insult to the Indian parliament that foreign MPs are being taken to Kashmir when opposition political leaders have been stopped from going.
