Michigan Synagogue | Man Who Rammed Into Michigan Synagogue Had Lost Family In An Israeli Strike

Authorities say a 41-year-old Lebanese-born man rammed his car into Temple Israel, a synagogue in suburban West Bloomfield Township near Detroit, before opening fire on Thursday. The incident occurred while dozens of children were inside the building. Officials identified the suspect as Ayman Mohammad Ghazali, who had learned days earlier that four members of his family were killed in an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon. Authorities said the gunman exchanged fire with a security guard before fatally shooting himself after becoming trapped in his vehicle. The FBI, which is leading the investigation, described the attack as an act of violence targeting the Jewish community. Officials also recovered commercial-grade fireworks and containers believed to contain gasoline from the scene.
